Be a Sommelier – The Art of Blind Tasting

Sommeliers are measured by their ability to “blind taste” or determine the grape variety, region, and vintage of a pre-poured glass of wine. In this class, you will learn the art of blind tasting by identifying key markers for common grape varieties and using logical deduction to make conclusions. Along the way, you will learn key elements that differentiate wines, furthering your own ability to assess quality and varietal typicity. Your tasting journey will be guided by James Beard Award-nominated sommelier and blind tasting coach, Cristie Norman.
