Join us on Friday, September 8, for a bourbon-whiskey pairing dinner celebrating Jefferson’s Ocean – Aged at Sea Bourbon. Founded in 1997, Jefferson’s is the brainchild of Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, a famed bourbon historian. Jefferson’s Ocean continues the family whiskey tradition that dates back to Trey’s eighth-generation grandmother who was arrested in 1799 for the “production and sale of spirituous liquors.” Today, barrels of Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea Bourbon travel aboard ships that visit ports around the globe. The constant motion of the sea churns the whiskey, increasing its interaction with the barrel wood, imparting a sweet, caramelized flavor, while the salty ocean air and sea spray give the bourbon savory character. To toast National Bourbon Month, Lakeside’s Executive Chef David Middleton curates a multi-course menu paired to expressions of Jefferson’s with Wynn Resorts Mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini creating original cocktails for the occasion. Jefferson’s proprietor and distiller Trey Zoeller joins us, regaling guests with tales of bourbon lore, recounting the many journeys of Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea Bourbon. Seating is limited and advance reservations suggested.
