It’s hard to believe but the most treasured of culinary extravagances began life as a staple eaten by the working class. Caviar has a long and storied history, which began well before its star-turn atop the blini. Lakeside’s Executive Chef David Middleton joins Jim Miller of the fabled Kolikof Caviar House for a tasting and deep dive into the world of caviar. Miller explains how caviar became so popular, how to choose and store caviar, and what flavors to look for when tasting premium caviar. Participants must be 21 and over to attend.
